ALEX REESE

Chairman and Founder

Alex is the Chairman and Founder of the Cricket Live Foundation. Alex has been running the Cricket Live Foundation from the age of 21. Keeping sport at the heart of everything he does, Alex also works as a consultant for American based Sports Management firm, Wasserman.

 

Working in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors, Alex is determined to bring both sides closer together in order to solve some of the worlds most pressing challenges.

SIR RICHARD HADLEE

Sir Richard played international cricket for New Zealand from 1973-1990, and during his cricket career became the first bowler in test history to capture 400 wickets, ultimately holding four world records.

Richard is Director of RJ Hadlee Promotions Ltd, 

 New Zealand Cricket Board member, Brand Ambassador for Christchurch International Airport and Ecoglo and supports other charitable organisations including Shelter Box and Glaucoma New Zealand.

NEIL PORTER

Trustee

Neil currently holds the position of Assistant Principal, Community Engagement at Christ’s College, Christchurch. In this role he engages with the community beyond the College gates and drives the Service Learning programme to support a wide variety of community groups and organisations. Neil has considerable experience in education having previously taught at both independent and state schools in New Zealand and England.

Outside of teaching, Neil serves on the Appointments Panel of Swimming New Zealand.

Business is a matter of human service.

AMELIA GAIN

Amelia Gain is Co-founder and CEO of Preno, a web application for hotels globally. Previously she owned and operated The Spire Hotel in Queenstown with her sister, winning multiple World Travel Awards.

 
Amelia grew up playing cricket for St Albans Cricket Club in Christchurch and although does not play anymore has continued to be very passionate about the sport.

WILLIE LYONS

Willie is our creative and strategy guru. Willie worked for Saatchi and Saatchi in Auckland, and was responsible for accounts such as Heineken, Toyota, Marmite and Tui.

 

He then ran his own technology start-up, before joining the Agri Banking team at ANZ Bank. Willie played age group Cricket for Central Districts until he was 20, at which stage he decided to focus on his professional career.
